Grateful CK Akonnor says thank you to former boss and ex-Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah in his emotional farewell message.
Akonnor gave Kwasi Appiah a special mention in his farewell message following his sack by the Governing Body of Ghana Football.
Appiah was the head coach who requested for Akonnor’s services as his assistant coach during his tenure as the Black Stars coach.
“I’m grateful to H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,the Sports Ministry,my former boss Kwesi Appiah, the leadership of the GFA, colleagues I worked with, players and Ghanaians for the opportunity to serve. Wishing the team all the best. Thank you”, he wrote on social media.

The former VFL Wolfsburg captain helped Ghana to secure qualification for the next Africa Cup of Nations tournament which will be held in Cameroon in 2022.
Unfortunately, the gaffer was sacked by Ghana FA after the team lost 1-0 in Johannesburg in their second Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Bafana Bafana team from South Africa last week Monday.
