Kumasi Asante Kotoko held Great Olympics to a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium in a matchday 20 encounter.
The game was highly contested by both teams as each side failed to put the ball at the back of the net after 90 minutes of action at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors started the game on a blistering pace and had a great opportunity to open the scoring with a free kick inside three minutes but failed to utilize their chance.
After five minutes on the clock, Great Olympics dominated possession in the first half with some scintillating moves and football on display from Samuel Ashie-Quaye and captain Gladson Awako to wow the media guys at the stadium.
With Olympics dominant display, Asante Kotoko had to push back and went very deep into their own half and resorted on the counter-attacking break.
The two teams couldn’t create more clear-cut opportunities in the first half and went into the break with ho ours even.
Substitute, Godfred Asiamah’s first touch nearly ended up at the back of the net for the Porcupine Warriors but Olympics goalkeeper was up to the task to deny him.
Olympics played well but Kotoko on the break were very dangerous but their attacks was almost stopped all the time by Ebenezer Sekyere as it ended goalless at the end of the match.
