Accra Great Olympics head coach, Annor Walker has labeled referee Selorm Kpormegbe as the worst referee in the ongoing GPL and suggests must be banned by Ghana’s FA.
In an exclusive interview with Kumasi FM, the former Kotoko player, now coach of Olympics stated that the referee was the worst he’s ever laid eyes on or met in his career as a coach due to his numerous bad calls.
“Truly speaking, so far with the matches we have played, the worst officiating was what happened last Sunday in our game against Legon Cities which was handled by ref. Selorm Kpormegbe”.
The experienced gaffer stressed that he always want to desist from talking about referees but his team’s last game against City-Rivals, Cities was very horrible and therefore is pleading with the Ghana Football Association to impose a ban on the referee.
“I don’t normally talk about officiating but honestly what the referee did last Sunday was just too bad and my humble appeal to the FA is a ban, not him alone but other referees who do not perform well in other matches”, he said
The hopeful coach ended by voicing his wish in his team’s next crunchy clash against league leaders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC tomorrow at the Accra Sports Stadium at 6pm.
“In spite of this, I’m hoping for good officiating when we play leaders Asante Kotoko in our next game”, He concluded.
