Accra Great Olympics held Hearts of Oak to an interesting 1-1 drawn game at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday night during Week 28 of the Ghana Premier League as Olympics continue to be undefeated against the Top 3 teams of the competition.
After 28 games played Hearts of Oak and Kotoko are joint top of the league table on 50 points each whilst Medeama are 3rd on 46 points but none of these sides have managed a win over the two-time Ghana champions in 2020/21.
Striker Maxwell Abbey Quaye – who scored against the Phobians in the first round as Olympics won by two nil- repeated the form on Sunday as he produced a powerful header to equalize for the team coached by Annor Walker.
Emmanuel Nettey had put Hearts of Oak ahead on 51 minutes with a serious striker from outside the box following a corner incident but Abbey would prove to be a big game player this season.
Olympics drew Medeama 1-1 away and defeated the team of Moses Armah Parker by 1-0.
Against Asante Kotoko, Olympics have won one game and drew the other as the team of Annor Walker are currently 4th on 45 points.
