The Haka FC star is happy the see the club’s fans back to the stadium after months of absence.
The corona situation in Finland and Pirkanmaa has improved to such an extent that more fans can now be admitted to the stadium.
FC Haka’s next home games already will have an audience capacity of more than 2,000 spectators., something the Ghanaian international is pleased to hear.
“As a player, you play for fans and the club. It feels good that the fans have returned to the stands. It’s great to hear their voices and encouragement. It motivates us even more and helps us get more out of ourselves, Yartey reminds us of the importance of the audience,” Yartey told the club’s website.
Yartey got against FC Lahti to experience the atmosphere created by the rapids fans and wants to get more in the future.
“I would like to thank the fans for their support. Hopefully, more fans will be seen in the auditorium in the future. When you see and hear the audience, it becomes a lot of extra energy and motivation.” he added.
The former Benfica star hopes to enjoy the support of the home crowd next time on Wednesday when FC Honka comes to visit the Factory Field.
“We started pretty slowly, but since then the game has gone in a better direction. We trust the work of coaches and they trust us. We just have to work hard. Even if we don’t always win, the coaches believe in us and we believe in ourselves.”
FC Haka and FC Honka face each other for the second time in less than a week on Wednesday. The match starts at the Factory field at 6.30 pm.
Yartey, 31 has scored two goals in six games for Haka this campaign.
