Ghana giant Hasaacas Ladies defeated Burkina Faso team Union Sportive des Forces Armees 2-0 on Monday, 2 August 2021, to book a place in the final of the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifying tournament.
The record Ghanaian champions have the first ever WAFU Zone B tournament final in style despite losing their opening game.
Striker Veronica Appiah rised highest in the goal area to head in a cross from the left on the 44th minute mark.
The Sekondi-based club struck the post twice in the opening half with the first coming in the 25th minute when Evelyn Badu free-kick from 30 yards shook the crossbar.
Perpetual Agyekum also struck the side post as the ball rolled on the goal line before being cleared out by the Burkinabe defenders.
Just before the half hour, star player Doris Boaduwaa shot from inside the goal area after receiving a wall-pass from Appiah to score the decisive goal.
The Ghanaian Club are through to the final and are on course to win their first international trophy.
