AS Monaco forward, Eric Ayiah has admitted that being under the management of Jorge Mendes gives him the motivation to push harder every time.
The former Ghana under-17 captain, who has had the opportunity to work with the Portuguese super agent after the under-17 FIFA World Cup in India, has revealed that working with Mendes has not been easy but he takes it as a great motive to challenge himself every now and then.
As earlier revealed, Ayiah joined Monaco after the world cup following talks between Jorge Mendes and the French outfit’s president, though he is yet to make an official senior debut for the club.
In an exclusive interview with sportsworldghana.com, the forward said: “It is not an easy thing working with someone like Jorge Mendes.”
“Personally, I feel motivated and pushed to work had anytime I recall that I have someone like him as my agent. You can’t be a lazy person and expect the best from him; It’s impossible.”

The 21-year-old also emphasised that Mendes is always willing to push him to the top once he puts in the needed efforts.
“One thing he tells me always is that, he will help if I try and deliver my best and that is exactly what I am working on,” he concluded.
Ayiah is set to return to Monaco for the start of pre-season ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
