Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has described the inclusion of duo, Kudus Mohammed and Thomas Partey in the team as a blessing ahead of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe today.
The former Swansea City AFC deputy captain believes the pair will help the team enormously in their game against the Warriors.
Partey and Kudus both missed Ghana’s opening two games against Ethiopia and South Africa respectively due to horrible injuries.
“It is very important to have a full squad and for me they are back and fit from injury is a blessing and they have a chance to play. So for them to be back, I’m very happy and I hope that all the others can come back and join us to play the game,” Ayew said in a pre-match press conference.
“Everything is going on well; we have been training for a while now. This game we know that it is an important game so we are just calmly getting ready and the squad is ready. The players are ready to give everything to get the three points on Saturday,” Ayew added.
After losing to South Africa in Johannesburg, Ghana slipped to second and trail the Bafana Bafana by a point, who play Ethiopia early on Saturday.
Ghana must beat the Warriors of Zimbabwe to have their campaign back on track at the Cape Coast stadium at 4pm today.
