Former Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku has heaped praise on President and Bankroller of Division One league side Nkoranza Warriors Leslie Kuku Bartels for greatly impacting his career positively.
The 21-year-old joined Kotoko last year from the Division One League side and established himself quickly to become the club’s most-trusted striker before his move to Algerian side USM Alger.
The striker who has signed a four and a half year contract with the emerging Algerian powerhouse for €500,000, thanked Kuku Bartels for identifying his talent and also giving him the opportunity to aid his development during an interview with Kumasi-based Ash FM.
”Bartels is like a father to me and I will forever be grateful to him,”
Opoku is currently in the Black Stars camp preparing for the 2021 final two qualifying matches against South Africa and Sao Tome later this month.
The Black Stars will travel to South Africa to play the Bafana Bafana team on 25th March, 2021 before they return home to host Sao Tome and Principe four days later.
