The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service Dr. Nsiah Asare who is also advisor on health matters to the President Akufo- Addo reveals competitive football action could be back in the country by September but he personally wants to current season canceled and start afresh next season.
Some footballers, coaches and club owners have made similar calls to the Ghana FA to terminate the season after the government suspended sporting activities in the country due to the Covid-19 outbreak and now health guru Nsiah Asare thinks the same way.
“This is my personal opinion. I would prefer the current season canceled and started all over again. This to me will be fair to all the clubs.” the health expect told Fox FM on Wednesday morning.
“If the clubs will agree for the season to be terminated and started again I think that will be better and fair to everybody”
There are 173 remaining games to be played by the 18 premier league clubs as Aduana Stars lead the standings after Week 15.
