Accra Hearts of Oak new coach Samuel Boadu has given some key and consistent players few days rest after the first round of the Ghana Premier League ended.
The gaffer after Sunday’s win over West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC has decided to exempt twelve regular players from the team’s training for two days.
According to the release of the list by the Hearts of Oak SC head coach, players like goalkeeper, Richard Attah, Fatawu Mohammed, Raddy Ovouka, Nuru Sulley, Mohammed Alhassan and Frederick Ansah Botchwey have all been given days to rest.
Other players included in the list are newly signed Ibrahim Salifu, experienced winger, Patrick Razak, Umar Manaf, Benjamin Afutu, Victor Aidoo and Kojo Obeng Jnr respectively.
The twelve players will not take part in the team’s training for two days but will return to continue with preparation for the upcoming second round of games in two weeks time against Aduana Stars in Accra.
Hearts of Oak, despite their inconsistencies in the Ghana Premier League this season managed to end the first round on third position with 27 points from 17 games.
After bringing in former Medeama SC coach, Samuel Boadu, the Rainbow Club looks gingered up for the rest of the season and have become hopeful of ending their over ten years trophy drought at the end of the campaign.
