Hearts of Oak’s head coach, Martin Koopman, praised the young striker Hamza Issah, comparing his qualities to Brazil legend Romario after the teenager found the net in their 3-1 victory against Medeama SC on matchday eight at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Following the match, the Dutch coach spoke highly of the young talent, saying, “It was unfortunate that Hamza Issah fell ill at halftime, experiencing a stomach issue that led him to the toilet. I had to substitute him.”
Koopman continued, “But you can see the qualities in Hamza; he shares similarities with Romario – low to the ground and lightning-fast. I’m very impressed with him.”
With this win, Hearts of Oak climbed to 13th place with 9 points from 7 games and have an upcoming match against premier league returnees, Heart of Lions, at the Hohoe Stadium.
They will then face Karela United in the matchday nine fixture at the Aliu Mahama Stadium this weekend.
