Accra Hearts of Oak defender, Ibrahim Larry Sumaila has admitted that he misses what he likes doing best- ‘playing football’ and that, he cannot wait to be given the all-clear to resume playing.
Playing of football has been suspended in Ghana since mid-March due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and a clear date and a road map has yet to be arrived at on the resumption of the sport.
And, Larry concedes this is a worry for all footballers in the country as they are eager to return to the pitch having stayed at home for over four months now.
“We are just waiting to be told to resume training and get back to real match situations”, he told Hearts Media, adding that playing football is all that they know.
“All players in Ghana wants to play football and the sooner we are allowed to resume playing, the better it will be for all”, Larry continued.
The player has been training on a programme detailed for each player by the technical team of Accra Hearts of Oak during this Covid-19 period as they are at home.
