2020-21 Ghana Premier League winners, Accra Hearts of Oak SC have keen interest in signing two key players from rivals for their CAF Champions League campaign.
Accra Great Olympics head coach Annor Walker claims that the Rainbow Club are interested in signing two defenders Jamaldeen Haruna and Razak Kasim from the DADE club.
In an interview with Accra-based Asempa Fmr, the Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC target, revealed the Phobians plans to sign two of his best players in the team.
“Hearts of Oak have shown interest in our center-back Jamaldeen Haruna and Razak Kasim” Annor Walker told Asempa FM.
Jamaldeen Haruna, 21, was part of Ghana’s Black Stars coach CK Akonnor’s invited 30 man squad for the AFCON qualifiers games against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe but could not feature due to injury.
Despite his inability to feature for Ghana due to injury, Jamaldeen established himself as one of the most important players for Olympics and arguably the best center-back before his injury.
Kasim on the other hand is a very mobile and a versatile player who’s preferred position has always been as defensive midfielder but also finds it easy to be deployed as a central defender.
Kasim was one of Great Olympics consistent performers in the league and could help booster the Phobians team for their Africa Inter-club competition.
Hearts of Oak SC will represent Ghana in the 2021-22 CAF Champions League after winning the Ghana Premier League trophy for the first time in 12 years and are keen to make good impact on the continent once more.
The Phobians won the competition in 2000, becoming the first club to win the trophy in the 21st century.
The Accra-based club has been linked with several players after winning the league title and Olympics coach has confirmed the Ghana champions wants his two players ahead of the 2021-22 season.
