Accra Hearts of Oak have made an official move to sign highly-rated right-back Farouk Ameyaw from Techiman Eleven Wonders, according to Mo Shaban.
The 22-year-old full-back emerged as one of the standout performers in the 2024/25 Access Bank Division One League, finishing the season as the highest-scoring defender with an impressive tally of seven goals — a remarkable feat for a player in his position.
With his explosive runs, attacking instincts, and solid defensive contributions, Farouk played a key role in helping Eleven Wonders secure promotion back to the Ghana Premier League. His performances have not gone unnoticed, with the Phobians identifying him as a top target in their defensive rebuild ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Sources close to the negotiations confirm that Hearts of Oak have officially contacted Eleven Wonders to express their interest and begin discussions over a potential transfer. However, the newly promoted side is yet to give the green light for the move, as they consider Farouk a key asset for their return to the top flight.
Farouk’s versatility and attacking threat from the right flank make him a valuable addition to any squad, and Hearts are pushing to secure his services early as part of their pre-season recruitment drive.
As talks progress, Hearts of Oak fans will be hopeful that the club can convince Eleven Wonders to release their prized full-back — a move that could significantly strengthen the Accra-based side’s defensive unit for the coming campaign.
