Accra Hearts of Oak welcome Ashantigold to the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Saturday on the occasion of the the second match-day of the Ghana premier league.
The Phobians had to relocate their home games from the Accra Sports Stadium to Cape Coast for renovation works to begin at the national facility in Accra.
But what was the result the last time the Phobians played a competitive soccer game at the Cape Coast stadium?
It was Wednesday February 22 last year. Hearts of Oak played Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast stadium in a Week 3 fixture and after 90 minutes the enthralling encounter failed to produce a winner as it ended 1-1. Winger Patrick Razak broke the deadlock in the 10th minute with an excellent finish punishing a sleeping Dwarfs defence.
But Nicolas Gyan, the main man of the Mysterious side in the season of 2017, needed just three minutes at the start of the second half bring his side to level.
On Saturday however, Hearts of Oak will be playing as the home team against C.K Akonnor’s Miners and Henry Wellington’s side are expected to clinch the maximum points after leaving Techiman unbeaten.
