Ghanaian forward Henry Addo has emerged as a league champion after helping Maccabi Tel Aviv secure the 2024/25 Israeli Premier League title.
Although he did not feature in the final game, the 22-year-old was part of the squad that celebrated a dominant 5-0 victory over Beitar Jerusalem in the championship playoff. That win ensured Maccabi Tel Aviv finished the season with 80 points, just two ahead of closest rivals Hapoel Beer Sheva, clinching the top spot in style.
Addo, who joined the Israeli giants in 2024 from Slovak side MSK Zilina, had a steady season. Despite a slow start, he contributed significantly to the team’s success, making 15 league appearances and scoring once. His performances added depth to Maccabi Tel Aviv’s attacking options.
Beyond the domestic league, Addo also featured in the UEFA Europa League, where he made nine appearances and netted two goals, showing promise on the continental stage.
Determined to continue his progress, the young winger is aiming for an even stronger impact next season as he pushes for a more regular spot in the starting lineup.
