High-flying Ghanaian striker, Joel Fameyeh was in action for FC Orenburg in Russia on Saturday afternoon in their penultimate game in the Russian National Football League 2020-21 season.
The 23-year-old predator finisher played full throttle for his team as they brush aside their opponents with a 2-0 away win on the road to secure their ticket into the 2021-22 top-flight football in Russia.
After suffering relegation in the 2019-20 season due to their failure to raise a team for their games due to Covid-19 pandemic which left them without enough players and leading to points demotion, the Blue and Whites have bounced back to top-flight on the first ask to book their place in the next season.
Fameyeh scored an icing on the cake goal when Orenburg thrashed Irtysh FC 4-0 with an 87th goal from the spot.
The former Asokwa Deportivo SC hitman has struck 12 times in the league this season for his team and has provided four assists leading his side back to the Russia Premier League.
Fameyeh has played for the Ghana Black Meteors and the Black Stars B team and is the second top scorer this campaign for his side behind Dmitry Vorobyov who has scored 24 leagues this campaign for FC Orenburg.
With a game left to play before the season ends, the Blue and Whites are home and dry as they end the season on second place and seven points behind leaders Krylya Sovetov and six points above Nizhny Novgorod.
