English-born Ghanaian midfielder Hiram Boateng is pleased to play his second game for Cambridge United after recovering from an injury.
The 25-year-old enforcer has been out of action since having a crack in his shoulder bone in the middle of December but was back on the field playing fifteen minutes on Thursday as Cambridge beat Cheltenham 1-0 in the League 2.
Boateng had the chance to start in Saturday’s 1-0 away win over Port Vale where he played 69 minutes and he is glad to be getting to his best after the injury lay off.
“Buzzing to be back! Boys battled well in a tough game today to get the 3 pts.” Boateng tweeted.
Boateng’s loan deal from MK Dons was extended last month as Cambridge United believe he can help them in their quest for promotion.
