TSG Hoffenheim defender Kassim Nuhu, is expected to return to the playing field very soon, as his hopes multiply with surprise injury recovery.
The stalwart defender, picked an ankle injury in matchday two of the German Bundesliga match against SC Freiburg and has since not featured for the European side.
However, he tells Kumasi based Angel FM in an interview that he is recovering smoothly and hopes to be back stronger.
Nuhu, 23, was due for selection against Kenya in the 2019 AFCON, but the injury ruled him out to join the Stars in Ethiopia.
“For now, everything is getting better than what we were expecting”. He said
“I’m recovering very well, I was supposed to be out for 6-weeks but for how the treatment and everything is moving, it has reduced”.
The Ghanaian international, further stated that he has commenced training to shape him and return stronger.
He says “I have started training at the gym, running but not with ball yet”,
It’s however not clear if he will be available for Ghana’s AFCON qualifier match with Sierra Leone next month in Kumasi.
The tall and bulky central defender joined the German side in the summer transfer from Swiss club Young Boys.
