Italian based midfielder Godfred Donsah made some revelations in an interview with Sunyani based Space FM putting clubs who are interested in him on alert.
He said [in the interview] that he is not sure he will complete the remaining three years of his contract with Bologna. He added that, though it will be difficult for Bologna to allow him go, his motive was to play only the first two seasons when he signed in 2015.
‘’Officially there are many clubs who have inquired about me but I haven’t spoken to Oliver Arthur; my agent because if something concrete comes on board he will inform me. But if you go to Italian website www.calciomercato.com you will know some clubs are interested and they have started talks with Bologna. For them [Bologna officials] to transfer me out of the team will be a big blow so I know it won’t be easy for me to leave’’, the former Black Satellites player revealed.
‘’I have three years more to play at Bologna but I am not sure I can complete it. This is because when I signed it was my motive that even if I sign five years I will play the first two years but the surgery after my injury [at the start of the season] affected me. In football I think people appreciate the little things you do because in the just ended season, I didn’t play any better than last two seasons. I can leave and things can get better because the clubs are many’’, the 21-year old added.
He also talked about his call up into the National Team saying the right time will come and he will try his best to remain a member of the team when he is being called. ‘’I am waiting for the right time because we don’t rush in life as our elders say.
And I know if the time is due and am called I will do my best to stay in the team. Some will say I haven’t been called because of the incompetence of one or two Black Stars team officials but it’s false. If the coach sees my performance as one that will help the team he will hand me the call up. Since the time is not due I will keep on doing my best so that when I am called I will help raise the nation’s flag high’’. Godfred said.
The former Palermo man joined Cagliari in 2014, was sent on loan to Bologna with an option to buy later.
He signed permanently for Bologna in 2015. He has made 33 appearances [for Bologna] so far.
