Former Accra Hearts of Oak dribbling magician, Torric Jibrin has disclosed that he once lied to the management of the Accra-based team to pave way for his trials at Spanish team Atletico Madrid.
In an interview with Accra-based Angel Fm on Thursday evening, the former TP Portsmouth playmaker revealed.
“I lied to Hearts of Oak management that my mom is sick, so I want to visit her in kumasi, just to pave way for me to go for a trials at Atletico Madrid in Spain.”
“Accra Hearts of Oak management had the information that I am in Spain having my trials with Atletico Madrid, and the management were angry but my manager solved the problem everything worked out well”.
The 229-year-old was a former dealing boy on the local scene and was dubbed as the next big thing in Ghana Football but unfortunately that did not happen to some extent.
Jibrin moved to Portsmouth from the Phobians but failed to make impact at the club and later moved on with his career.
He pplayed for DR. Congo giants TP Mazembe in the 2019-20 season before the World was hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
Torriq Jibril has played for Portsmouth, Trabzonspor, Bucaspor, Al Ismaily, Arab contractors and just recently Congolese giants TP Mazembe.
