Ghana Captain Asamoah Gyan has waved a strong response to Former Hearts of Oak player Amankwah Mireku saying the ex footballer doesn’t worth criticising him.
Following Ghana’s elimination at the recently ended AFCON tournament in Gabon, the Black stars players have received a quantum of criticism by a section of Ghanaians.
Mireku, an Ex Captain of Accra Hearts has been no exception, the Ex footballer has criticized the current generation of the Black Stars Players stating most of them lack stamina for the game .
Asamoah Gyan however thinks otherwise and reckons the ex Hearts player do not have the moral right to criticize him.
“Amankwa Mireku is nowhere near my level in football. I expect Legends to talk about me not him. Gyan told Kumasi based Angel FM.
Amankwah had earlier called for Gyan’s captaincy be stripped off saying ”The Captain should be given to Andrew Ayew, he has proved over the years that he was born to be a leader, he has a genuine leadership qualities”.
