Ace Broadcaster, Moses Foh-Amoaning believes former Ghana U17 coach David Duncan should have been made the Black Stars head coach instead of being an assistant to CK Akonnor.
According to the astute journalist, the former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko gaffer, Duncan is an all rounded tactician who understands all technical aspects of the game hence deserves to have been named Ghana head coach after Kwasi Appiah’s exit.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Nhyira power sports, Foh-Amoaning also gave other reasons why he believes that the Ghana assistant coach should rather be heading the technical team of the Black Stars.
“I am happy he has David Duncan with him. He is all rounded as he understands the technical aspect of the game and he has played too,” he told Nhyira FM Power Sports.
“I even feel David Duncan should have been the head coach but it is fine he is assistant.”
Duncan was appointed as assistant coach to CK Akonnor in February 2020.
The 56-year-old has also previously been in charge of Ghana U17 and U20 national teams and was in charge of the 2005 Ghana U17 team that played in participated in the FIFA U-17 World Cup tournament hosted in Perú.
Akonnor will be playing his first ever-game as Black Stars coach when his side face African neighbors Mali and Asian Champions in international friendly on Friday and Monday in Antalya- Turkey.
