Newly appointed Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac has described Ghana as his ‘second home’
The Serbian manager is making a return to Ghana since leaving the country after the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
On Friday 23rd September, 2021 Milovan Rajevac was officially announced at the new Black Stars gaffer after the Ghana FA parted ways with Ex- Ghana International Charles Kwablan Akonnor.
The Black Stars have gone almost four decades without lifting the AFCON trophy since winning it in 1984.
Rajevac carved a niche for himself after an impressive run with the Black Stars, getting to the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and a quarter-finals place at the FIFA World Cup in South Africa same year.
“I feel this country is my second home” Milovan Rajevac said.
His first duty in charge of the Black Stars team will be against Zimbabwe next month in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana currently sit third in Group G of the qualifiers with three points after playing two games.
