Ghana head coach Charles Kwablah Akonnor, says he welcomes all criticisms in good faith following his embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Mali in his first game in charge of the Black Stars team.
Ghana on Friday, fell 3-0 to a disciplined and well-composed Mali side at the Emir sports complex in Antalya, a result that attracted criticisms from the Ghanaian football public.
But the former Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak gaffer says he has accepted the criticisms in good faith and hope to improve in the subsequent games.
”I can understand their disappointment. I have read a bit of their comments and its disturbing but, nobody asked me to be a Coach, that is what we are made of. I have accepted the criticisms in good faith,” Akonnor told ghanafa.org.
”I am a Ghanaian and I want to go the Ghanaian way but things would change and we will enjoy watching the team again.” he added.
The Black Stars on Monday 12th October 2020, face Asian Champions Qatar in another friendly as part of Ghana’s preparations for next month’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.
