Ms. Naa Odofoley Nortey, Attorney at law , represented the Ghana Football Association in the Court of Arbitration for Sport case involving Tema Youth President Wilfred Oseik Kwaku and the GFA and has said that she was very confident the GFA were going to emerge victorious in their defence based on the strong evidence they had.

The Tema Youth President , the appellant, was represented by the famous lawyer Thaddeus Sorry whilst Naa Odofoley – a member of the GFA Normalisation Committee that organized the October 2019 elections -represented the football association.

The Normalisation Committee acting as the elections committee for the October 2019 GFA Presidential polls disqualified Mr. Wilfred Osei Kwaku from race after failing an eligibility check and after an unsuccessful appeal at the Normalisation Committee he headed to CAS.

CAS gave a verdict on September 1st, 2020 and dismissed the appeal filed by the appellant and according to Odofoley she knew beforehand this was going to happen.

“It is what it is” a happy Naa Odofoley said on Kumasi-based Fox FM Focal Sports on Wednesday morning.

“For me I knew the case we presented and I also know the evidence that we also had. And so we knew the decision of the vetting committee ( to disqualify Mr. Wilfred Osei Kwaku) was correct and right and even CAS has gone beyond what we said. It is completely damning.” the lawyer added.
