Paa Kwesi Fabin says he is excited about the opportunity to be the head coach of Legon Cities ahead of the 2023/24 betPawa Ghana Premier League season.

Fabin was unveiled as the new head coach of the club earlier on Tuesday, August 8, at the club’s offices.

He joins the club from Aduana Football Club, where he almost guided the club to winning the league title last season.

At Legon Cities, the former Ghana youth coach takes over a club that survived relegation by a whisker at the end of the season but says he couldn’t turn them down.

“After the Aduana work, I wanted to stay off football for some time, especially the Premier League. But one day, Legon Cities called me and showed me their project that they want to do,” he said.

“I felt compelled to come and help, to come and take over and take the team to the level that they want us to be. I am very happy to be here.

“I like challenges like this.”
