According to David Ocloo, the coach of Hearts of Oak, his team deserved to win the exciting game against Dreams FC last Saturday in Dawu, but they had to settle for a draw.
Despite having several good chances, the ‘Phobians’ were unable to score, resulting in a goalless draw with the ‘Still Believe’ side in match-week 25 at the Theater of Dreams Park in Dawu.
If the giants had won, they would have had the opportunity to level on points with league leaders Aduana Stars, who were set to play their fixture later that day and could have extended their lead with a win.
The young tactician acknowledged that his players had made numerous attempts, particularly in the closing stages of the game, but were simply unlucky. He also stated that they were still capable of winning the league this year.
“This was a game we finished very strongly. Towards the end, you could see that my players were giving their all and were very determined to win it, but unfortunately, we couldn’t score the needed goal.”
“I still believe that we can win the GPL.”
In the next round of games, Hearts of Oak will host Nsoatreman FC in the capital.
