Referee Samuel Sukah says he is not bothered about the controversies surrounding his officiating in the hearts of Oak- Kotoko match last Sunday.
Samuel Sukah has come under barrage of criticisms for awarding an 83rd minute penalty to hearts of oak after judging that Samuel Yeboah’s shot hit the arm of defender Ahmed Adams in the box.
The penalty was duly converted by defender Vincent Atinga to give the Phobians a 1-0 victory over Kotoko.
Some pundits have expressed their disappointment and believe it was a wrong call from the referee. But Sukah insists he made the right decision
“Matches of that sort are always surrounded with controversies but the referee is the only person who can judge what a penalty is”.
” So people can’t just come out with their own judgment based on footage’s from the match”he told Starr FM
“But the truth is am not bothered at all because incidents like these are always associated with my work. I did the right thing so my conscience is very clear”
