Accra Hearts of Oak Goalkeeper Samuel Akrugu has made it emphatically clear he has realised his comfort no longer matters to the club adding he wants his remaining contract terminated by mutual concert.
The former Sekondi Hasaacas shot-stopper noted that the letter for his contract to be terminated was written last year, before even the commencement of the league.
He claims management of the club after receiving the letter told him to hold on for a while.
This is the second time the player has come out to voice his bitter-treatment to the club following the team’s failure to attend the final funeral rite of his father last year.
“The game of football comes with lot of happiness and comfort. Those behind the scenes may never know what is going on or happening to you as a player”
“I need my contract with Hearts terminated for my comfort reasons,” Akrugu communicated to Kumasi based Angel FM.
“The termination of my contract has nothing to do with monetary issues but for my comfort and happiness to the club.”
” If l’m to secure a division one(1) contract where l think l can get my comfort, happiness and will be valued I will prefer that rather than continuing my contract with Hearts,” he continued.
He stressed in conclusion he’s still under contract with the Hearts so clubs interested in his signature should in the first place contact them.
