Ghana’s striker Bernard Tekpetey has stated his desire to remain at Ludogorets with UEFA Champions League football in sight next for the upcoming season.
The 23-year-old joined the Bulgarian First Professional League winners on loan from Schalke 04 and is determined and ready to play for the club again in UEFA Champions League in his last year of his two-year deal.
Tekpetey played two games in the 2020-21 UEFA Champions League qualifying games for Ludogorets but ended up in the Europa League as he faced teams like, Premier League and 2019 Champions League finalist Tottenham Hotspur.
After such an exciting time and experience with the Green and Whites Eagles, the Ghanaian forward is keen to stay for another year to complete his two-year loan deal with the club and get the opportunity to play at the biggest stage in European club competitions this season.
“I also want to have this opportunity to stay in Ludogorets because we will be playing Champions League play-off. For now, I will leave everything to the clubs to decide. If Schalke calls me I will go,” the forward told Original FM.
Tekpetey won the 2020-21 Bulgaria First Professional League with Ludogorets Razgrad and scored two goals with four assists.
