Medeama head Coach Augustine Evans Adotey says he’s praised with his team for their top-class performance against Asante Kotoko in the club’s 1-0 loss in the FA Cup Semis at the Obuasi Len Clay sports stadium on Monday 2nd October.
Steve Pollack’s boys entered the game as wandered loins after painfully losing out in their last league game by 1-0 in the hands of Elmina Sharks in Cape Coast.
Coach Adortey in an interview after his clash with the porcupine worriers told the media “though we lost but l will commend my boys for exhibiting such a technical and tactical display of soccer action,” he expressed.
Augustine In disappointment added “we are kind of disappointed in the referee cause if you could see Sadiq Adams first fouled Paul Aidoo before getting the equalizer for Kotoko,” he noted.
Both Medeama and Asante Kotoko on their mid-week league fixtures instead of Wednesday will play on Thursday due to their FA Cup rained-off game on Sunday, with Medeame SC welcoming the ‘Scientific Soccer lads’ Liberty Professionals as Kotoko lock-horns in a local debut game at home against rivals Obuasi Ashanti Gold.
Adortey on his sides preparation towards their crunchy game on Thursday disclosed “we will all the same put everything behind us to prepare and bounce Back strongly on Thursdays with Liberty,” he ended.
The FA Cup finals on 29th of October will see Ghana’s two most successful and decorative giants Accra Hearts of Oaks(with the most FA Cup titles 10) and Kumasi Asante Kotoko rob shoulders at the Tamale Sports Stadium in the northern part of Ghana, after Hearts defeated Wa All-Stars by 2-1 as Kotoko piped Medeama by a goal to nothing.
