‘I will gladly welcome Black Stars Call Up’- Kingsley Fobi

Former Ghana U20 defender Kingsley Fobi says he’s ready to represent his country at the senior National level when given the chance.

The former Right to Dream Academy prodigy who was recently signed by English Premiership side Watford from Udinese and has been loaned to Segunda Division B side SD Formentera.

His contract with Watford runs till 2021.

Speaking to Kumasi based Abusua FM, Fobi said he has improved since featuring for the  Ghana U20 team [Black Satellites] at the 2015 world cup in New Zealand and would gladly welcome a call up to the Black Stars team by Coach Kwesi Appiah.

‘’A lot of things have changed from 2013 to 2017. I am more than prepared to play for the Black stars when the time comes’’

‘’We have a lot of great coaches in Ghana but the problem is we don’t have good facilities as compared to Europe.’’

Speaking on his Watford move, the youngster said indicated ”Watford has signed me for Four years. My target is to have a lot of playing time and get the opportunity to play for the Black stars.’’

‘’I am very excited to play for a club like Watford and it has always been my dream to play in the premiership ‘’

‘’I wanted to back to Udinese but I had a called from my agent that Watford needs me and they made me understand that after signing me, I will be loaned out to SD Formentera in Spain.’’

 Fobi has started pre-season training with the club ahead of the forthcoming Spanish Tercera Division League.
