The Executive Chairman of the McDan Group, Daniel Mckorley, has promised to renovate the National Tennis Courts at the Accra Sports Stadium at a cost of GHC50, 000 ahead of the ‘Mcdan’ Tennis Open Championship on April 24.
The courts are currently in a state of disrepair and this has prompted Mcdan to renovate the facility after witnessing for himself visible structural cracks on the walls and playing surface of the courts, a falling wire mesh and hanging aluminium roofing during an inspection tour of the venue last Friday.
“This trip we are here inspecting the court and also promising to adopt this court. I will make sure that it is in a good state before the Mcdan open championship”, Daniel Mckorley told the press.
It’s going to cost us Ghc50, 000 to renovate this court, we are going to do that and every year we will make sure we maintain it,” he added.
However, Mcdan Group have been responsible for the painting of the courts over the last three years.
