Accra Hearts of Oak forward Kwadwo Obeng has promised to score even if he plays only five minutes in his side’s season opener against Aduana Stars.
The Ogya lads will welcome The Phobians in their matchday one fixture of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa.
The striker who last month, signed a three-year contract extension with the club until 2023 ahead of the upcoming season, is very confident he will hit the back of the net when given the chance to feature in the game by head coach Edward Odoom.
“I said it and I did it against Kotoko when I was playing for NEA Salamina”– Obeng Jnr told Sunyani-based Ark FM.
He added that “Even if I play 5 minutes, I will score against Aduana stars at Dormaa Ahenkro.”
Hearts of Oak haven’t won the Ghana Premier League for almost a decade and are hoping to finally end their trophy drought under coach Edward Odoom this season and compete in African next season.
The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League is scheduled to start on 14 November 2020.
