Accra Hearts of Oak have identified Bechem United striker Hafiz Konkoni as one to replace their star forward Kofi Kodzi who recently left the club to join Qatari side Muaither SC.
The Phobians recently lost one of their strikers- Joseph Esso to Dreams FC after the two parties failed to reach a deal for the contract extension of the Black Stars B striker.
Kodzi on the other hand, left the Phobians earlier this year to seal a One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars move to Muaither SC in Qatari.
Accra-based Hot FM reports that the Capital-based club have since contacted Bechem United for the services of their striker Hafiz Konkoni as they seek to strengthen their attacking department ahead of the 2020/21 season.
The Source, however, adds that Konkoni’s possible move will depend on whether the league is being played on a novelty basis or not.
It is rumored that Hearts may opt to continue with the current squad without any additions if the 2020/21 GPL is played on a novelty basis but will push for the striker’s signature if the League is to be played with the already existing format.
However, speaking to GhSportsnews.com, the striker said “They are all big clubs and I score anytime I play against Hearts of Oak,”
As a player, it is always your motive to play well and impress when coming up against the big guys to earn a deal to play for them.
Heart of Oak is a great side and I would love to play for them one day, Insha Allah.”
