Spain-born Ghanaian forward, Inaki Williams has revealed his seasons for turning down Black Stars call-up.
According to the striker, though his parents hail from Ghana but he doesn’t feel hundred percent Ghanaian because he wasn’t born in Ghana.
He has been a long term target for the Black Stars but has always turned down any attempt to get him to represent the four-time AFCON champions.
He recently became the first player to start the most consecutive matches in the Spanish La Liga for his club Athletic Bilbao.
“My parents are from Accra but I wasn’t born or raised there, my culture is here(Spain), and there are players for whom it would mean more. I don’t think it would be right to take the place of someone who’s a Ghanaian and feels Ghana 100%”, he said.
He revealed that, his primary goal is to represent the 2010 FIFA World Cup winners, the country where he was born and raised.
