Hearts of Oak star player, Salifu Ibrahim who has just been recalled into the U-23 set-up after backlash from the football fraternity will turn his back to Ghana his manager has disclosed.
The manager of the mercurial player did not mince words when he replied harshly to the earlier stance of Paa Kwesi Fabian who is the gaffer of the U-23.
In an interview with Angel sports, Mr. Kofi Asiedu said you Paa Kwesi if you are sensible enough, someone who has 7 awards (man of the match) and you claim you will not call him, if he travels and even goes to Malta he will turn his back to Ghana again”.
The football fraternity went to a shock after an earlier announcement of the provisional squad had Salifu’s name conspicuously missing. Reports indicate the coach had to be impressed upon by the FA to review selection.
The manager was emphatic the player will not play for any of the national teams again “the boy will not play any of the national teams again, they should take their team”.
Black Meteors will engage Japan in a friendly match as they prepare towards the Olympic games and the All African Games.
