Medeama Sporting Club head coach Ibrahim Tanko has stressed his team’s determination to secure a positive result against Asante Kotoko this weekend, as the Ghana Premier League enters Week 12.
The Tarkwa-based side comes into the fixture on the back of an impressive eight-game unbeaten streak across all competitions. Speaking at a pre-match conference on Friday, Tanko acknowledged the challenge of facing Kotoko in Kumasi but pledged that his players will give their all to maintain their run.
“That is our goal. We are eight games unbeaten now, but against Kotoko, it is going to be a different game altogether. They also had their first loss against Holy Stars. They are playing at home, and we are playing away, but of course we want to keep our unbeaten record and, if possible, get the three points there,” Tanko told Medi TV.
The clash between Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC is scheduled for Sunday, November 30, at 3 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. A win for Medeama could see the team move to the top of the Ghana Premier League standings.
