Head Coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, James Kwasi Appiah, has rubbished a news report of a release of his twenty three(23) man squad to face the Harambee stars of Kenya, in the final lap of Afcon 2019 qualifier later this month.
Earlier in the week, a widely circulated article suggested that Appiah had announced a 23-man squad to which included Sulley Muntari for the upcoming game.
But in a sharp rebuttal to what has turned out to be a fake news report, coach ‘mayele’ as affectionately referred to, has urged Ghanaians to disregard the attempted falsehood, as he readies to announce the final squad list on Monday, the 11th of March, 2019.
In response to a question posed by a correspondent of SportsworldGhana.com, in a group whatsapp chat, the gaffer simply responded saying ”Original Squad will be out from Monday. Please avoid the Fake list.”
Ghana has already qualified for the biennial Afcon tournament to be held in Egypt mid of this year.
