Latif Anabila says he is ready to fight for a starting place in the team of Maxwell Konadu after completing a free transfer to Asante Kotoko penning a three-year deal.
The midfield of Kotoko is packed. Emmanuel Keyeke has joined from Karela whilst there are still the likes of Mudasiru Salifu – disturbed by injuries for majority of last season – and Kwame Adom Frimpong are still in Kumasi but the former Ashantigold midfielder says he is confident to satisfy what Konadu methodology demands.
“Competition is not an issue for me. Competition makes players better and I am ready to compete for first team football.” a confident Anabila said to Fox FM on Monday.
“Names don’t play football. So I cannot say I’m going into the team just like just because I’m Anabila. I know I have to compete.” he added.
