German-born defender of Ghanaian descent Gideon Jung says he’s happy his transfer move the newly promoted Germany Bundesliga side Greuther Furth worked out for him.
The 26-year old promising defender has signed a two-year contract with the Bundesliga newcomers.
Speaking to the club’s website after signing the deal, Jung said: “I’m so happy that the change worked. In the conversations I noticed the passion and professionalism with which those responsible in Fürth act and that is exactly what the team embodied in the past season”
“Nice that I can now be a part of it.” Gideon Jung added.
Gideon Jung joins Greuther Fürth with 78 Bundesliga games and 55 second division games in his luggage.
The central defender, who can also play on the six, completed all of these for Hamburger SV, where he terminated his contract during this summer break.
Jung who became European champion with the German U21 national four years ago, is still eligible to represent Ghana at the senior national level.
