Ghanaian forward, Abdul-Aziz Yakubu grabbed his first hat-trick of the season in Estoril Praia’s 5 – 1 thumping of Cova da Piedade in the Portuguese Secunda Liga.
The youngster opened the scoring in the eighth minute of the game when he reacted very quick to slot home a rebound to put the Blue and Yellows in front.
Eleven minutes to the end of the first 45 minutes, the Ghanaian forward scored his second goal in the match with a carbon-copy finish of his first goal to ensure his side lead 2-0 before the interval.
Ten minutes after the recess, Andre Vidigal made it three to the hosts before the youngster converted a 61st minute penalty to make it 4-0 to his team.
Joao Vieira scored a consolation for the visitors two minutes from time before Andre Clovis added the fifth for the host to make it a resounding 5-1 thumping of Piedade.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian forward has scored seven goals in nine games this season for Estoril Praia in the Portuguese second tier to send his team top of the league log with 22 points from nine matches.
