In-form Ghana captain Andre Ayew has equalled his father Abedi Ayew Pele’s goal scoring record for Qatari Super League giants Al Sadd.
The former deputy captain for England Championship side Swansea City AFC has just used three months to score the same amount of goals as his father who found the back of the net seven times after spendinf one year at Al Sadd.
Nonetheless, Abedi Pele was three-time African best player award winner and moved to Al Sadd in 1982 in the early stages of his career and left the club in 1983, having scored seven goals.
Andre Dede Ayew on the other hand has equalled the number goals scored after playing in just eight games in the top-flight in Qatar since joining as free agent this summer.
The 31-year-old Ghana captain has scored in seven consecutive matches for the Black and Whites outfit.
At the rate he’s scoring at the moment, Ayew looks very likely to surpass his father in terms of goals scored for Al Sadd SC in Qatar.
