Experienced midfielder Gladson Awako insists his motive for the season is to help his club finish in the top ranks.
The Accra Great Olympics skipper who has been the best player in the Ghana Premier League so far stressed that he us not surprised by his player of the month award as his output has been topnotch.
“My target is to help my team to be in the top four position at the end of the season.” Awako told Sikka FM
“I know my performance has been outstanding to win the player of the month but the other nominees deserved it as well”
The former Ghana Under 20 world cup player further revealed that he is not disturbed when people call him “old” player as most of his peers are still actively playing.
“I’m not perturbed when I’m described as an old player. All my colleagues are playing so these things doesn’t put me down.”
Awako, 30, was part of the Ghana team which won the 2009 Under 17 world cup in Egypt and has also featured for TP Mazembe and Phoenix Rising Stars.
