Ghanaian international striker, Joseph Esso has ended the Algerian Ligue 1 campaign as a joint foreign top scorer in the just ended 2020-21 league.
The former Dreams FC kingpin joined the Green and Reds in March and has been a pivot and a consistent performer for the Algiers club.
After moving to Mouloudia club d’alger from the Ghanaian top-flight team, the striker struggled in his early days at the club.
On the final day of the 2020-21 season, Joseph Esso scored a hat-trick for Mouloudia Algiers in their 4-4 draw to finish the season with 7 goals in 18 games.
Esso ended the season with 6 goals in his final 5 games to finish as the joint top foreign scorer in the Algerian Ligue 1 DZ along with Libya’s Mohamed Al Tubal with seven (7) goals each.
His team finished 7th on the league table after 38 matches and will not participate in the CAF Inter-club tournament coming season.
