Asamoah Gyan has sounded a  word of caution to his critics to wait for the next 100 years before his fall following a report suggested the newly signed Al-Ahly player had failed medicals with Championship side Reading FC.

The captain of Ghana senior national football team explained his reported loan to the UK based football club hit the snag due to some disagreement between the two parties at the 11th hour.

According to the former Al ain striker, Reading FC stated they’ll not release him in january for the African cup of nations in 2017 if the deal is completed which made him pulled out eventually.

Gyan speaking to press men at the Accra sports stadium ahead of Ghana’a clash with Rwanda on saturday was very emotional and had this to say.

“The person who wrote that i have failed medicals, when i saw it, it was funny to me because there was even a paper before me ready to sign.

In this world everything can happen. Sometimes people say a lot of story about you which are not true. The things i have been through and the lies people have framed on me is a lot so it was a normal thing for me.

At the end of the day, i’m not done yet, so if you are telling the whole world i have failed medicals which is not true, and you wish my downfall to celebrate, you have to wait for 100 years because i’m not yet finished”
