Ghanaian midfielder, Baba Iddrisu, was hauled off against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night with a suspected injury just under two weeks to the start of the 2022 World Cup.
Iddrisu was handed a start by his club Mallorca but at half time, he had to be taken off. He limped off the pitch in discomfort.
The highly-rated midfielder was included in Otto Addo’s 55-man squad for the 2022 World Cup and was expected to make the final cut.
Ghanaians will wait to see the extent of his injury.
