Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC coach, Mariano Barreto has described his team’s win over strugglers, International Allies as very tough.
Speaking after the game, the Porcupine Warriors gaffer did not shy away from admitting how difficult it was for his charges to overcome a tough Inter Allies team in Dawu.
The Portuguese tactician also said the match was not exciting to him and his boys because of the difficulty they faced before going home with a 3-2 win.
“It wasn’t exciting. It was a very tough match. We knew the way Inter Allies play by using their tall players and putting in the long ball. Unfortunately we don’t have tall players but we needed to find a solution and we solved the problems”, he said.
Kotoko won the game with a 3-2 score line against the Tampico Boys to go level on points with arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak who beat Medeama 2-0 in Accra.
The Red and Whites will take on In-form Karela United FC at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi in their week 30 fixture.
